  • How To Choose The Right-Sized Rug

What to Consider When Buying a Rug
When you’re looking to buy a rug, there are several factors that you must keep in mind in order to choose the perfect one: color/ pattern, shape, and size. The reason behind this is that every room has a different use, design, and size-so it is essentialto choose a rug that will enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of your space. Luckily, there are a few guidelines that we can follow to make thisdecision process quick and simple!

Choosing a Rug for Your Dining Rooms
For dining rooms, it’s important to consider the size of your dining table and chairs. You’ll want to choose a rug that can fit comfortably underneath them with at least 2 feet of space around the border to avoid your chairs falling off the edge of the rug when pulled out. The most common size is 8’ x 11’, but it all depends on the size and shape of your dining furniture.

Best Rugs for Indoor and Outdoor Living Areas
For a large space such as an indoor or outdoor living area, the size and pattern of your rug can really make a statement. A rule of thumb is to make sure you leave equal-sized borders of uncovered flooring on each of the four sides of the rug. Apart from that guideline, feel free to be a little creative! You can choose for your rug to be smaller and fit only underneath the coffee table or you can go big and pick one that all of your living room furniture will fit on top of (this is known as the floating layout). Either of these layouts will work, as long as you keep the space looking symmetrical by leaving equal borders.

Rugs for Your Bedrooms
In the case of bedrooms, you have the option to place a large rug either fully or partially under the bed-which can help pull all of the room’s elements together-or to instead choose smaller rugs to place at the foot or sides of the bed. The color and pattern of bedroom rugs will of course depend on the character and style of each individual bedroom as well as the color or pattern of the flooring or carpeting.

Runners for Hallways and Narrow Spaces
Long, rectangular runners are great for accentuating hallwaysand narrow bathrooms or kitchens, while smaller bathrooms and kitchens are better off with small rugs placed in key areas, such as in front of the sink or next to the shower.

Preferably a Mexico style woven or kilim. That can be rolled for hurricanes.

Can you send me photos of your rugs and prices?

  2. Can you tell me if you have duvet king covers and bed skirt? I need a new one for the bed in Cabo but do NOT want white.
